Question

My Client e-mails pdfs of their bank statements. Can I upload them to QBO?

Client does not want to connect bank account to QBO. Is there a way for me to bring the information from the pdf bank statement to QBO? I tried converting the pdf to Excel, then saving as a CVS but then I had to spend so much time moving the data to different columns so QBO could read it, that it was a huge waste of time.

Hi there, Lisa. Right now, the manual process is the only way to get your client's data into the system. There are just two options in QBO: you can either connect the bank or manually upload the files.

The advantage of manual uploading is that you catch errors immediately, so you don't have to fix mistakes later. However, since this takes up a lot of your time, you could have your client connect their bank directly. You might also consider using a third-party app to help speed things up.
