Question

my GSt just stopped calculating itself on a reoccuring transaction that has been used for a long time. intermitently this happens but I go out and come back and it corrects itself but not this time.

You'll want to delete the corrupted template and create a brand-new one from scratch with the exact same details, then reapply your Canadian sales tax code. Rebuilding the template writes a clean, uncorrupted block of data into the system, forcing the background sales tax calculation engine to resume working perfectly.

To start, here's how:
 

  1. Navigate to the Gear icon, and select Recurring transactions.
  2. Click Delete from the Action dropdown next to the broken template.
  3. Select New at the top of the dashboard, choose your transaction type, and re-enter the vendor billing details from scratch. Moreover, ensure the recurring settings are set accurately.
  4. Click your provincial Sales Tax code on the line items to force the system's background script to permanently save the automated calculation engine link.
  5. Select Save template.
