Sales tax agency report is blank

if your tax reports seem empty, even though you have made transactions with taxes, I recommend reaching out to the QuickBooks Desktop support team for assistance. They'll be able to analyze the transactions and the report with you in a secure setting to see the cause of them not appearing on the report, as well as provide some steps to get it resolved. Somehow, sometime, the Receiver General "Agency" was marked as Inactive resulting in there being no Agency to choose. Once this was re-activated I was able to run the report. Simple. BUT there is no reason why we would mark the RG as inactive. Glitch? Don't know but looking for a fix online showed that the issue was not uncommon. Hope this helps someone out there.
