Setting up payroll and the postal code comes up with an error.

Welcome to Community!  It's important that you're able to setup QuickBooks Online Payroll without error.  I'd be glad to assist!

The error you've mentioned can be caused by the format of your address.  This can happen if you enter Rd. rather than Road, or Ln. instead of Lane.  It can also occur if you enter a P.O. Box number rather than a street address.  I recommend reviewing these areas to see if you experience the same outcome.  If the issue persists, please contact us outside of Community.  Our Customer Care team can look into this from the back end, and ensure you're able to complete your QuickBooks Online Payroll setup as soon as possible!

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?) Help in the upper right in QuickBooks Online > enter "Contact support" > hit Contact Us > provide a brief summary of your situation > hit Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
