Missing tax credits causes QuickBooks to default to the highest withholding rate, often resulting in zero net pay.
 
To fix this, ensure the employee's Tax withholdings section includes the correct Federal and Provincial claim amounts and verify that the Deductions and contributions section does not contain excessive flat dollar values.
 
Once updated, delete the draft from your Paycheque list tab and re-run it, or void and reissue the cheque if it has already been finalized, to ensure accurate CRA reporting.
