Using quickbooks online, how do I update a reconciled transaction from expense to transfer?

Recorded my transfers from chequing to savings as expenses, I need to correct them, and change them to transfers. They are already reconciled.

Thank you for sharing your concern, feddebergsma! There are two ways to ensure that your transactions are accurately recorded. Let me help you with the steps to correct this.

If the transaction was downloaded from your bank, you can undo the categorization. Then, change its transaction type to transfer. Here's how:

Select My apps, then choose Accounting.
Go to Bank transactions, then head to the Posted tab.
Locate the transaction, and click the Undo option.
Open the transaction in the Pending tab, and pick Transfer from the Transaction type drop-down menu.
Add the necessary info, then hit Post.

If the transaction was manually created, you'll have to delete the existing expense and recreate it as a transfer.

Once done, don’t forget to mark the transaction as reconciled. To do this, go to the register, find the transaction, and click the box in the Checkmark column until you see the letter "R".
