Thanks for reaching out here. QuickBooks Online enables you make suppliers inactive when necessary, to keep your list up-to-date and organized. I'd be happy to help!
For suppliers you no longer use, you can make them inactive as long as there are no associated open expenses or bills. With your supplier dating back to 2015, making them inactive would allow you to make them active again, should you purchase items from them in the future.
Follow these steps to make a supplier inactive;
1. From the left menu, open Expenses and then Suppliers
2. Locate the supplier in the list and use the ▼ dropdown menu, in the Action column to select Make inactive
Here's how to make them active again;
1. Open Expenses, then Suppliers
2. Click the ⚙ icon above the Action column
3. Check the Include Inactive box under Other
4. Type the supplier's name in the Search field
5. Hit Make Active, in the Action column
