Alarming notice from Intuit about QB Payments

Over the past month I've received several emails telling me my QB Payments account was about to be closed because of missing info. I could not find anything wrong. I called support yesterday. They told me there is nothing wrong in my account. Today, I got this (see below). Is this legit or is it a phishing expedition?

Your QuickBooks payments account has been declined due to missing info. You can continue to create and send invoices, but you can no longer get paid online or in-person. Any funds left in your account will be returned to your customers in the next 30 business days.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community, jjstephens. I appreciate your detailed information.

I can see how concerning it is to get a notice about your account closing, especially after you've already reached out and confirmed everything is on track. I want to make sure you have a clear answer on whether that message is legitimate and exactly what is happening with your QuickBooks Payments account.

I’ve shared your experience and the details of your previous support interaction with our Next Level Help team. They'll be doing a deep dive into your account history and these recent notifications to get you the official answer you're looking for.

I've also included a detailed resource about identifying suspicious activity which may come in handy moving forward: Identify suspicious activity & phishing scams

One of our experts will reach out directly within 1-2 business days to discuss the next steps together with you. Have a wonderful Wednesday!
