You can cancel unprocessed payments to ensure your accounting records remain accurate, Donninghamdesigns.

The process depends on the payment type you wish to void. Voiding essentially cancels the transaction, treating it as though it never happened.

If you paid with a credit card, follow these steps:

  1. Locate and open the payments you want to void.
  2. Click on the dropdown arrow for More actions and then select Void.
  3. Confirm by clicking Void.
  4. Click Void payment.

Keep in mind that you need to do this before the cut-off time, 3:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST). If you've already passed it, you would need to get in touch with our Merchant Services Team. They can pull up your account in a secure environment and process the cancellation for you.

For more information on how to void payments, refer to this article: Void or refund customer payments.

Stay in touch if you have additional questions about unprocessed payments with your QuickBooks account.
