You can stop the payment from being processed by voiding it, bella-casacleaning614.
Voiding a payment in QuickBooks Online (QBO) cancels the payment while keeping the transaction in your records. The amount changes to $0, maintaining the audit trail and ensuring accurate financial records.
Here's how to void a payment:
Go to the Sales and Get Paid menu and click on Customer Hub.
Select the customer associated with the payment you want to void.
Find and open the payment you'd like to cancel.
At the bottom of the payment page, select More actions, then click on Void.
Confirm the void action.
Another option is to refund a payment from the original transaction. For detailed instructions on how to process a refund, check out this article: Void or refund customer payments.
