Question

Is there a way to make a payment button to set up a recurring invoice that the customer can pay or set up auto pay - a subscription link.

I have a subscription service and use Paypal subscription buttons but want to move to QB. Basically set up a recurring invoice.

Yes, you can set up Autopay for recurring invoices to your customers, @brad113.

If you have created a recurring invoice in QuickBooks Online (QBO), your customer can easily enable automatic payments. To do this, they need to open the sent invoice and select the Autopay option. This feature allows them to securely save their payment details, transforming the recurring invoice into an automated subscription charge.

Here are some requirements for your customers to set up Autopay:

  • Autopay can only be used for the full invoice amount. If your customer edits the invoice amount, the Autopay option disappears.
  • Another option to consider when using this feature is to ensure that your customer needs an Intuit account.  If they don't have one, they'll need to create an account.
