Quickbooks payments

I am admittedly not very knowledgeable about QuickBooks. My gardener has been billing me via QuickBooks for several years. Until now, I have always paid by check. I now want to use QuickBooks for payment. When I sign in to QuickBooks, I get a message telling me to contact my gardener if I am confused about how to pay. I have entered my checking account into QuickBooks. However, I am only able to view the current invoice. QuickBooks tells me that I have 27 overdue payments which, of course, were already paid. When I view those, some of them say "view and pay" and others say "view invoice." As a test, I clicked on one that said "view and pay", my bank account info was displayed, and I am pretty sure I would be able to complete that transaction. Is the problem here with my gardener in how he is using QuickBooks or am I doing something wrong?

I recommend contacting your gardener immediately to clarify the situation, @jweiner900.

Since you’ve already paid the 27 overdues via check, ensure your gardener updates their QuickBooks records to reflect those payments. This will prevent confusion and ensure you don’t accidentally pay for services you’ve already settled, including the invoice you clicked that said 'View and Pay'. You can also ask him how to handle your current bill moving forward as you consider paying through QuickBooks.
