If you mean credit card payments from your customers through the Intuit merchant service, then it seems Intuit is holding the money for your safety and security. At least, that is what they claim with a straight face.

 

Of course, that is abject nonsense. It makes no sense at all.

 

I don't know of any other merchant service that does this, in no small part because there is no safety or security issue when you are receiving a credit card payment from a customer.
