anybody else yet again having issues with the tab key when doing invoices/bills?, had the same issue a couple months back and it resolved it's self but yet again it's doing it!, when you are doing say an invoice, when your entering the item details and once done you hit tab to move across to qty, price etc it de-selects the invoice all together and you have to not only click on the next box you need but you have to click the box 2-3 times to get the curser back! very infuriating and it's making my job very time consuming!, i've tried it on 2 mac laptops and also a samsung laptop and it's the same on all
I have managed to reconcile a months worth of transactions in error. I like to deselect the tabs so i can cross reference them with the statement- reselecting as I go and amending as I go. When I did this I then inadvertently clicked reconcile - so now I have a reconciled month with no selected transactions. We don't share our accounts with the accountant currently and there are hundreds of transactions to get through.How can I rectify this problem?
I start the mileage tracker app and auto mileage, when I go to stop the tracking the next screen does not come up which is to view the mileage and location and ask if it is business or personal, anyone know why please
Hello Hoping someone can help me.I have an employee on Paternity Leave and also Shared Parental Leave.Now as I am a small business I applied for help with Statutory Payments and therefore I am going to receive a 2 payments from HMRC.I want to know how I account for that Payment. For the Furlough Payments we created an account called Furlough Salary Grant under other primary income. Can I do the same for the Statutory Paternity Payment and the Statutory Shared Parental Leave.There will be 2 separate payments from HMRC for each one.

obsolete bank accounts are showing on balance sheet when doing a report. How do I remove them?
We are using Advanced payroll and have employees on both Maternity and Paternity leave. Making the statutory payments for both categories is fine but we can't find how to make the dates show in the Leave calendar. On other systems the calendar is populated with the dates from the SMP & SPP setup but this doesn't seem to be the case with QB's. There are Leave Categories for both "Statutory Maternity Leave" and "Statutory Paternity Leave" so are assuming this must be possible.

Hi we have never accounted stock before as didn't really sell anything.We have just had a purchase from a supplier of stock and want to account for it correctly, at the same time just implemented an epos system in the shops we have.The stock has been set up in the Epos system.My question is: can I replicate this in quickbooks - or is it not worth while? - the stock cost materially is only £2000 I have set the product codes up, and see there is a cost box to tick - I post my purchase invoice to stock - the sales are imported (manually) from epos to QB using product code- does this also then move the stock from balance sheet to cost of sales?(from the tick box for cost) Sorry this is completely new to me and want to get it right.or do I just post the purchase invoice to cost of sales - knowing they will sell in financial year - and just post the sale through QB - possibly do a Journal at year end to account for any left over stock as I will get this info from the Epos syst

My quickbooks isn't showing my bank account transactions?
A payment for an expense invoice was overpaid by £360 to one of our suppliers that they duly refunded back into our account. I am unable to match the bank transaction to the invoice because the values don't match. Can you tell me how I can process match the transaction with the invoice and the refund to ensure our accounts balance?

I have a duplication as the amount is shown as income in transactions but I mistakenly input as opening balance too. New to QB so any help appreciated.
Hi QB community! I hope you're all doing well! I come seeking guidance. I have an invoice for $3,000 and it was paid through Stripe portal. Stripe charges a fee which is paid by the client. The client paid $3,105 in total. In Stripe portal I see that the fee was for $90.35. The invoice is for $3,000 so there are $14.65 dollars more (this happens with all Stripe payments). Every time a payment is made through Stripe, there are 2 automatic entries created in QB: 1) A JE which amounts to the total paid by the client ($3,105) minus the invoice ($3,000) -in this case $105, and 2) A payment which links the invoice ($3,000) and the recently created JE ($105), in this case for $3,105. Three months ago I would just register manually: 1) a payment towards an invoice, 2) a JE for the excess amount, and 3) an expense for the Stripe fee (in this case the $90.35 I mention at the beginning).
