How is QuickBooks going to cope with 2 rates for the FRS due to the reduction in VAT Rates for hospitality etc
I tried to file my VAT MAT for the quarter ended 31 March 2020 and it crashed. Now doing 30 June 2020 and the position is:- The 31 March 2020 data was sent to HMRC as they took payment for the amount due on 13 May.- QB Desktop in VAT>Prior VAT returns does not show the 31/3/2020 return as processed- If I Go into FIL VAT MTD it shows the 31 March 2020 return as filed (as expected, as they took payment), but the balance is the total showing for June quarter is the total of the March and June quarters. So it seems that QB Desktop filed the March quarter but did not generate a VAT journal and put the VAT liability into accounts payable. It seems I have to run the VAT return process on QB Desktop for 31 March quarter to clear out the VAT balanced and create the VAT liability so I can match it against the payment made on 13 May. How do I fix this? Mant thanks
Hi, We have just registered for VAT and have come to prepare our VAT return for our first quarter (April to June) but Quickbooks has set the dates April-September which is a 6 month return when we are signed up to Quarterly. How do i correct this? Thanks
I have exported a company from Quicksbooks Pro to QBO.Although the VAT setting in the Desktop file is switched off, the QBO company file has come through with the VAT setting switched on?I have looked at the Desktop version in more detail and there is a code for VAT Control - although there are no entires on this code I cannot delete this code. I and guessing at some stage VAT was probably switched on in the desktop version and then switched off. Is there any way I can export the company to QBO with the VAT setting switched off?
Hi I have one user, who when they log into Quickbooks Accounting using the Iphone app, instead of going to their homepage as normal, a big screen slides in from the right hand side saying “subscribe 55% discount”. They have to click next, which takes them to a page talking about “what you get for your £4,99/mo”. The main options you can click on are “subscribe and save 55%” or 1 month free (+ a sign out button top right) When you tap “subscribe and save”, it pops up with the screenshot below saying “No products available. Currently there are no products available to purchase - OK”. When you click OK, the screen disappears and they go to their normal home screenTheir subscription has been active for two years and is up to date/paid. When checked via the web browser, their subscription correctly shows as QuickBooks Online Plus.I can view their account (as the accountant) normally. When I log in using their username and password, I see the same “discount screen” as thi
We had a VAT amount outstanding from before we started using QBO. I then filed our most recent VAT return via QBO MTD. We paid both the previous amount and the new filing amount in one bank transaction. So I have three questions I think:How should I record this in the VAT section? Should we only put in the amount for the VAT submitted via QBO or should I put in the whole amount paid?Which account(s) should I categorise these two amounts in my banking transactions?Which supplier should I select for these transacitons? Do I need to create one for the prior VAT and one for the recent VAT? Thanks!
Client is on FRS and a couple of quarters ago switched to cash accounting (is using QB Online). However the return is including both deposits received and invoices issued in the quarter (none of which relate to the pre cash accounting period) thus resulting in duplications. Please advise.
