Upon posting a payment to a/r customer the original amount to be paid is double in Amount due so the invoice always looks like it is due. The A/R GL matches the listing so I am not sure how to fix this issue. I currently have 4 customers with this issue of which 2 of them I over charged due to it. I have upgraded my Quickbooks 2013 to Quickbooks 2019 and the problem is still happening. I can't find anything on this on google. Can anyone help?
His CPA files a 1040 with a Schedule C. ( not much info from him) Would it be easier to set then up separately? I know QB isn't really made for personal use. I am pretty sure there were funds were used to pay expenses for personal use.

On QBO: I have an invoice from a supplier I forwarded to the receipt e-mail so it shows up in my Receipts. On the Receipts screen, I am trying to use this file to create a payable entry (credit AP debit Inventory). But when I use AP as my Bank/Credit account, I get an error: "You need to select a different type of account for this transaction." How do I do what I'm trying to do?

I deal in multiple currencies. When I exchange foreign currency to my home currency, I often will make wire payments to overseas suppliers at the same time. This creates one withdrawal from the foreign account that needs to be split into bill payment X and Y, and the remainder is exchanged a 1.2345 to home currency. What is the best way to record this? A general journal entry? Or will that leave the bills as forever unpaid? How can I keep this organized for account reconciliation later?

A previous bookkeeper posted some payments via a sales receipt. No tax was recorded on these receipts, and they were recorded and paid in a previous year. What is the best way to adjust these receipts, so that tax gets added, and what posting date do I use. I should add that the correct amount was collected. We just need to adjust the sales and tax amounts.
