I just migrated my data to QBO from another software. I ended up with three Retained Earnings accounts. Two had no transactions; one did (via Run Report). I was able to Make Inactive one transaction-less account, but I'm getting an error message on the second saying I cannot remove an Account Type "Retained Earnings". Is there a way to remove it so that I only have one Retained Earnings account?
Good morning, I will be setting up a group RRSP through QBO. Our plan will meet the restriction requirement to be classified as a non-cash taxable benefit. I've included the exact wording: "Your contributions are considered non-cash benefits and are not insurable if your employees cannot withdraw the amounts from a group RRSP (except for withdrawals under the Home Buyers' Plan or Lifelong Learning Plan) before the employees retire or cease to be employed." How do I set up the RRSP Company Contribution in QBO so that the contributions are pensionable but not insurable? And likewise included in the T4 boxes 14, 26, 40. Thank you
The Expense Claim form has changed drastically. Currently here are some of the things that I have noticed and this is making it hard to keep paperwork accurate:1. There is no total on the printed version. Why?? I have to hand write the amount on the bill before filing. Not very professional.2. The headers for Account/Item and Description have vanished on the printed version.3. The GL code no longer shows on the printed version.4. The signature line has vanished on the printed version.5. Used to say Payment to and now it says Bill to. We are paying and NOT billing anyone.6. Date and Reference numbers fields are swapped.7. Used to say Total Due and now says Balance Due without any number.8. The font has changed too. It was much larger before and now it is hard to read not to mention that some of the font is much lighter. Font on an invoice should be black, not light grey. I have seen many posts about
In QB desktop, I create customers with jobs. How do I do this in QB online?
Bought a new computer and wanted to install another desktop version. My old machine is running desktop pro 2013. If I purchase the new 2020 desktop version, will I be able to import my 2013 data into it? Secondly, will quickbooks still register it since they want you to use their online versions which I find very expensive?
When I email invoices to customers, they're being sent the email twice. Why is this happening? I've cleared all history, cache and cookies however it's still happening. Invoices are CC'ed to myself and the owner for tracking purposes and nothing has changed with any email addresses or how they're sent. Thank you.
I would love to participate or start a lawsuit against this company! They sell their product and never deliver what they say they do. They need to stick to what they know or pay for the late deposits from their merchant accounts. They hide behind terms and conditions that literally say we can hold onto funds as long as we want because they claim it is out of their control. This is not acceptable. I wish they had real competition out there I would be transferring my 20+ clients out of QBO ASAP! If anyone is interested in getting developers together to create our own bookkeeping software let me know I would be on board for that as well!
We have an active subsctription to QuickBooks Online Plus. When using the iPhone app to view our information, some transactions (mostly invoices) will not be there and I can't figure out why. If I pull up a customer profile in a web browser, I can view all of that customer's transaction history, including all invoices. If I pull up a customer profile in the iPhone app, it will display some of the transactions, but will not display most of the invoice history. Additionally, sometimes when I search for customers in the app, they do not show up at all despite being active and searchable in a web browser. Is the QBs iPhone app supposed to be limited in the information it displays relative to a web browser, or is there possibly something wrong here?
Can journal entries be made in Quickbooks Ledger? This is a new product. Is there a list of the functions of what this product offers anywhere? I can't find much information about this product.

It's been 3 weeks since our price rules stopped working. We use QBO and we were told that it would be fixed soon. Last week I was absolutely ASSURED that the problem would be fixed on Friday. Friday comes and I get an email saying that the next update will be "next Friday". Problem not fixed.Today I open a chat with someone who just says they're working on it then exits the chat (see attached file which doesn't show him/her leaving but he/she did).This is infuriating! Fix your product intuit! This is entirely your own doing! It used to work fine. If you're not going to fix it just say so. Don't string me along for 3+ weeks making me wait. This is massively unprofessional!

I once had a small business and that is what got me started.However, now I use QBDT 2021 for my church, another church group, and 2 fraternal groups. In all the situations, the cost of a subscription is the issue. Is there any way to be able to access all four company files from one platform, like I can from my desktop program?I'd appreciate any ideas or suggestions.
Using QB Desktop Premier 2014 (Yea, it's old but it does what we need it to and doesn't involve an on-going cost!), we've updated our address in the Company Info tab to reflect a recent move. Our invoices are still showing our old city in the "FOB" field. All other fields updated fine after updating the Company Info. We can't seem to find a place to change the FOB. I'm hoping there's a place hiding to enter it, and not an error with the file. Has anyone seen this before and found a solution? We asked the QB Assistant and they just tried to sell us a subscription based version and categorically would not offer any tips or help with our request. I understand they can't justify supporting the old software but was hoping a quick tip would do it and help out a long time customer who has purchased multiple versions.
I recently reconciled one of our banks which included a Journal Entry for bank charges.After the reconciliation was closed, I accidentally deleted the journal entry, so now my bank rec is out of balance.How can I correct this - can i reinstate the JE somehow?Thank you.
