I am running QBD 2024 Pro.  In backing up the file today, Intuit Protect had a new version, which I installed.  Intuit Protect proceeded to back up my QBD file and everything in my Documents folder.  I cancelled the backup and the error message was that QBD had errors and the balance of the backup was cancelled.  The QBD error was that the file was open and could not be backed up.  How are we to back up a single file without including the entire drive?

I am using the most updated version of QuickBooks Mac Plus 2022. When I create an invoice for the current date, QuickBooks marks it as past due. I cannot send a customer a first-time invoice showing as past due. Why is this happening and what can I do to fix it other than use a future date?

Hi,Last month, I set up a bundle to assist with recording Daily Sales receipts (cash, credit, sales, etc.), and it worked smoothly. However, now the bundle items are not populating when I try to create a sales receipt. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any advice would be appreciated.

I just created my account I was setting the company and then suddenly kicked me out. Leaving a message on the screen. 

I work for a non-profit organization that receives funds from multiple grants.  What's the best way to record dollars received and track how they're spent for report backs to the foundations?  I'm a new bookkeeper and am new to the non profit industry.

I need to access info in an old desktop company file.  I installed the desktop version and updated it.  But I cannot open or restore the file.  I keep getting a message that the admin needs to "update the company file".  This makes no sense to me.  You don't update a file.  A file is what it is.  What is QBs asking me to do?

I have no idea why this is happening. It also happened in 2022 and now that I've upgraded, I thought the problem would be fixed. On Friday I worked on about 6 companies. Now only 2 are showing. I have my saves up to 20. I have no idea why this is happening and with 2022 I was unable to fix the issue. This means that every time I need to open a file, I have to keep saving it as a new name literally every time. Does anyone know why it does this? Or have any solutions?

A couple of weeks ago I put a Question out there that my old bills are somehow after being paid they are coming back into QB as Credits, and after further investigation my problem lies when we are going in and deleting some forms then thats when they are showing up some as CREDITS & some are going back into the Bill payment section, Also why does it take so long for me to delete 1 invoice in the send forms section

I have been using a Bundle I created for Daily Sales Receipt for my coffee shop for over a year. We set up the bundle in a very specific order to ensure that the information is group logically and make entering the information easy for the bookkeeper. At the beginning of April, the bundle started populating the daily receipt in an order different than what we created. I entered a case one week ago today 4/24 and was told I would be contacted by level 3 engineering because it appears to be a programing error on Quickbooks Online. I would like to know if anyone else is experiencing this trouble? And if Quickbooks is usually so cavalier about responding to customer issues? I am now 24 days behind on entering my daily receipts. I can create the sales receipt bundle by choosing each item and placing it on the daily sales receipt but this adds 10 minutes for each receipt and I pay my bookkeeper by the hour. Any feed back would be helpful.

 Hi – If a person participates in just one stage of Alpha or Beta testing, would they be eligible for the reward of free product? For example, of the 4 testing phases, what if a tester was only available to participate in just the “Pre-Alpha” stage?  Would that tester still be eligible for the free product reward?  Or, does a tester have to participate in a specific testing stage to be eligible for the free product reward? For reference, the four stages of testing are:1. Pre-Alpha2. Feature Alpha3. Product Alpha4. Product Beta

I think that one of the Windows updates removed Internet Explorer from my Windows 10 computer because they are moving to Microsoft Edge.  However, QB is behind the game and still requires IE.  Some people have been having this issue for a while, but I just started having it a few days ago and have done A LOT of research and tried many things to try to fix it.  I finally found instructions in Microsoft forums to get IE back on my computer that worked!  I have posted instruction below, and I hope it helps others who are having this same aggravating problem! If IE is completely gone from your computer, try this. Click on Start then Settings. Go to Apps | Apps and Features. If you don't see Internet Explorer, click on Manage Optional Features then Add A Feature. You should be able to add or enable it. Restart your computer when done so it takes effect.

Error 530 is coming up when this happen.

So I have an expense made on company A on behalf of company B. So the transaction is a due from, for let's say $174.22. How do I record this both as the expense and how much money is owed between companies?Currently when I put $174.22 on both Supplies and Due From as a split transaction, it won't accept it. The split amount and difference need to be at 0. I need to record both as Due From and Supplies so I know how much the companies owe each other and so the expense will appear on my P&L.

I am creating a Build Assembly but it is not deducting the quantities used of the components from inventory.  How do correct this?

<span;>I'm trying to help someone catch up on their accounting. The gal they had before  ever entered customer invoices, just statement charges.She sometimes applied payments to them and sometimes just entered the deposit manually. This happened over a period of years and now the A/R report has many negative balances that look like credits. The 0-30 and 31-90 are accurate, but everything after that isn't. I'm thinking a journal entry, but I have no idea where to move the wrong A/R entries, any suggestions?
