Lodging a nil pay run

I have a casual employee, that sometimes does not have wages in a pay week.  How do i deal with this? Do i create a pay run for that week? Do i have to lodge with the ATO?  I did try to lodge a nil pay run but it says ' the pay event cannot be lodged as there is no employee attached' even though I added the employee. Thx in advance

Does the vacation leave $$ balance increase in QBO automatically when you increase someone's salary?

Does the vacation leave balance get adjusted when you increase someone's salary? For example, if a salary is $50,000/yr = $25.30/hr, and the person has 100 hours available, the amount is $2,530 but if we adjust the salary to $80,000/yr, = $40.49/hr, is the person not entitled to $4,048.58 in leave?

How do I change the PAYG liability account that gets used when posting a payrun. The account I want to use is not showing as an option when I try to update it.

My issue is, there are 2 code PAYG liability and PAYG withholdings payable and payroll posts to one and when a BAS is lodged it posts to the other. I would like just one code to be used but in payroll settings it will not let me select the other PAYG code from the list.
