What is the best way to handle checks from customers that you've received but not yet deposited?Do you leave the invoice as unpaid until you actually deposit the check? My client is bad at not cashing his checks right away. Thank you.
They show separately but when I click are linked to a larger file
I have an invoice where the customer paid my employee directly and now there is that amount outstanding which is not owed by the customer.
How to categorize an e-transfer when I've given the client a receipt outside of QB (because I hadn't downloaded it yet) vs. how to categorize an e-transfer when I have yet to give the client a sales receipt
I've read through a few different discussion and felt like my circumstance wasn't fully addressed. I'm an interior designer and for most clients I buy furniture on their behalf. I buy furniture at trade pricing and sell to my clients at full retail. I don't hold any inventory. I typically issue a purchase order for 75% of the order and request the balance when the items arrive. I don't know if I should be placing these purchases under Cost of Good Sold? I did upgrade my QBO so I now have 'billable' purchases to my clients, but then again I got confused because I ask for a deposit for buying the items. I was labeling the purchases and deposits under COGS income account and was getting a negative balance. I don't know what is the proper way for me to be labeling these 'deposits' and labeling the purchases of these items. I hope someone can provide me with the right way to identify these purchases and sales.
We are a cash basis tax payer. When is revenue recognized and sales taxes payable booked?
Working on an account, and see that job income transactions were put in as deposits without having actual invoices. The customer has provided me with the invoices, but the accounts have been reconciled. How do I attach the payments to the invoices without undoing the reconciliation in quickbooks desktop.
We utilize QuickBooks Online and have both USD and CAD bank accounts. Our primary currency is CAD, but we create invoices in USD for our USD customers. Subsequently, we receive payments in USD as well. However, we encounter difficulties when a customer makes a partial payment for an invoice, as we are unable to match it with the invoice. What steps can we take to resolve this issue?
everytime we have to get verification code. Also, won't upload statements anymore?
We've moved over to QB time online so that it can sync with our QBO. When creating an invoice, the approved hours in QBT will not populate in QBO. Also, the rates that have been set up in QBO in settings-products and services won't populate either.... What am I missing?? One client's hours populated, but no others !Thanks everyone.

The base import functionality of QBO has pretty limited columns. How do you import shipping addresses and shipping charges? And, is there a way to import bundles, or must we import the underlying products? Thanks.
