Cannot enable CIS subcontractor on account. No tick box.

Hello,

I run a business that is both a CIS Contractor and a CIS Subcontractor.

I can deduct CIS from my subcontractors fine, all working on that end. The issue is that I cannot set customers as CIS Contractors. When I try to, it gives me this error:

It looks like we don't have your CIS rate. To track your CIS suffered, update your settings

On the article to set this up, it gives this instruction:

If you also operate as a subcontractor, tick the I am a CIS subcontractor box and select your deduction rate from the dropdown menu.

However, this is not an option for me. There is no tick boxes at all.

Hello, Travis.

I appreciate you following the process using the QuickBooks article for accurate setup for your customers as CIS Contractors.

I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Live Support to investigate the unusual behavior of the specific box in your Settings. They can use their tools to identify the root cause and guide you on the next steps to take.

Here's how:

  1. Open your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Head to the Help icon in the top right of your screen.
  3. In the Search bar, type Contact Us
  4. Click the Contact Us option below.
  5. Choose Callback
  6. Enter your Phone number, Full name, and Email address.
  7. Select Get a call.
