QuickBooks Time

Live Chat is crap.  There is no live chat.  It's just an auto program that keeps sending you to worthless information. I've been trying to add a new employee for a week now and still can't get it to work.  I've had nothing but problems since change from TSheets to Time.  I think they changed the name to Time because it's time for me to look else where.  I don't have time to sit here on the phone waiting or typing this message.

I'm looking for the desktop version with a "Lifetime" license, no payroll connections to Intuit.  What advice on software purchase can anyone offer?  I need the software to cut payroll, but I can manually calculate the taxes. I need access to the quarterly reports (941, state WH, state UI), but I can also file those manually with the need of an in-between entity.  I want to run the books on my PC alone, with zero connection to the internet or Intuit.  ADVICE MUCH APPRECIATED!

Fred was scheduled to work Monday thru Friday April 20-24 from 7AM - 4pm each day,  He only worked 3 days of the 5 days.He missed 2 days.  Our policy is that he had to take vacation for days he missed,  Now I realize I  have to go back and pay him for vacation for those 2 days in April. 1.  Do I need to revise the schedule  in TIME?   That week still says M-F  7am-4Pm.  Do I need to go to that week and change the schedule and insert vacation on those days?   Does an innaccurate schedule effect reports and data?2.  The  week of the april 20-24 was paid on 4-30-26.    Do I need to unllock that week in TIME?  Fred has already been paid for the 24 hours he worked.   If i unlock the time i think it will reload his paid work hours back in payroll,. 3.  When I go to try to add the hours to his schedule it is greyed out.3.  I want to make sure the hours  paid and request

I have a user who is admin on QB Time, but who does not have a login to QBO.  When Intuit ends QB Time, I am told by someone in support that I will need to make this individual a QBO Admin in order to create schedules for our staff.  This cannot be correct.  Is there a user type or permission that enables a user to create and edit schedules without visibility into all the books?

An employee requested vacation for his wedding.  Originally He had enough vacation hours so the boss approved the vacation request,  But since then his mother  got sick and he used all his vacation to care for his mother. Our policy is that if you miss work you have to take vacation. (even if was already approved for a future event,   So now he has no vacation left to for his wedding which is in a few months.  How doe Intuit Quickbooks Time handle ithis ? Do most companies make their employees take vacation if they miss work for any reason? Will the workforce app let him know there is no longer  vacation available  and unapproved his previous request.                          How is QB TIME  Payroll designed to handle this?What do you suggest?ThanksLDO

QBO states it is retiring QBO time soon, but there is no way to create timesheet GROUPs or assign employees to created timesheet GROUPS in the new in system QBO time options. The new in system shows the timesheet GROUPs create in QBO Time pulled in but does not have a way to create a new timesheet GROUP or assign and employee to that new timesheet GROUP so how will that be done when QBO retires QBO Time???. They need to add a way to cerate timesheet GROUPs in the new in QBO time system and away to assign employees to GROUPs.  If any know how to create and assign employee to timesheet GROUP in the new QBO in-system time set up/interface, please advise.

In spite of numerous requests to allow me to disable AI, the application just keeps being more intrusive, time-wasting and annoying.Hard to believe a company could be that unconcerned with their customers' wishes.

I recently moved from QB Desktop to QB Online. I am the owner of the business and the only employee. I have the Simple Start Plan, and I can not find where to record my time in order to prepare an invoice and bill a customer. As I dig into QB support, it appears I am not able to do this with the Simple Start Plan, and will have to upgrade to the Essentials plan. Is this correct?If this is true, I am pretty upset. I will be dissolving my business in 4 months, and moved to QB online because it was significantly cheaper. I made it clear to the sales person I spoke to that I would still need to do everything i was able to do in Desktop, and was assured that would be possible. If I need to upgrade to Essentials, I will be looking at the same price as what I had for Desktop!If I am missing something, please let me know. Thank you.

1 employee has duplicate timesheet entries occur and we can't figure out how it happens. It's very random, no set time or customer. She also had a duplicate Time off request occur. Same day, same time entered. No other employee has this problem

I entered times for a contractor but they are wrong and now i cant fix them

Need credit for turbo tax since i have Quickbooks Self Employed Bundle. Checkout on TurboTax want to charge for Federal.

I had previously configured Service Items on a per-customer basis so the techs don't have to select which hourly labor rate the customer receives. See the screenshot below with the customer on the left only seeing (4) service items available, and the one on the right showing all service items.  Since the latest updates, I can no longer find the option to assign these.  Does anyone have specific instructions on where I can access the setting to assign the service items on a per-customer basis for timesheets? 

I have an employee who has been using Manual Time Import for over a year. We switched QuickBooks Time accounts when we switch from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online, and now the Manual Time Import fails with an error, "User is not allowed to track time."

Hello, Having an issue where a Customer is showing up as a project in Time. In normal QBO, I have customer X who then has 10 projects under that X customer. Basic normal set up, have 10 more instances like it in our set up. However, with only customer X, when you go to the Time app X is now a project (says (Project) next to it) and all of the projects in the folder are not labeled as projects. This translates to all of customer X's projects not showing in the "Projects" tab on Workforce to allow any kind of data entry like file upload, picture upload, or note sharing like you can with any normal Project. The weird part is that you can still make time entry's for these projects. There is just nothing showing for them in the "Projects" tab Anyone else had this issue? Its been virtually impossible to get anywhere doing chat with this. Thanks!

I have two companies (A & B) every week I use the weekly timesheets tab located under Create > Team > Weekly timesheet, both companies have had the ability to choose pay type from the weekly timesheet screen to choose overtime or another pay type if fit, as of two weeks ago company B (under a different QBO account entirely) no longer has the option to select pay type. I am not sure what is going on and what changed but this is causing an issue when it comes to project tracking for any overtime expenses. Company A on the other hand still has all the options, I tried comparing the settings between the two companies and did not see anything that would cause this issue.

I’m trying to add QuickBooks Time Premium as an add-on to my QuickBooks Online Plus account, but the signup process appears to be broken.When I attempt to add the subscription, I am routed to the QuickBooks Time plan selection page. After logging in, the “Sign up and save” button is unresponsive and nothing happens when it is clicked. This occurs in multiple browsers (Safari and Chrome).I spent approximately one hour on the phone with QuickBooks support, including a screen-sharing session with a technician. The issue could not be resolved. I was then transferred to sales, who attempted to add the subscription on their end but encountered the same problem.The only solution offered was upgrading to a higher-tier payroll service that includes time tracking, which is not the product I am attempting to purchase and is significantly more expensive.At this point it appears the QuickBooks Time Premium purchase flow is not functioning properly for my account.Can someone from the QuickBooks team

Please look at the attached image.  Why are some of the choices grayed out?

We do not want any of our shop floor employees to be able to clock in and out  on their mobile device. None of them have permissions  ... but one man did. Here is what happened.   Our kiosk was not working due to internet outage.   William tried clocking in on his phone and he was successful.  William clocked in on his phone when the tablet was down. But he doesn't have permissions. Look at the image below:  It appears William has the same permissions as joseph.  Why can William clock in on his iphone but not Joesph.Thanks,LDO 1960    

When I try to enter time, I get a message that something went wrong, try again later. Been about 30 minutes, doesn't seem to be a way to report a downtime issue.
