It from being connected? I’ve looked in my accounts and it’s not there, I can’t see it connected anywhere except in my transactions! But it shouldn’t have this info as it shouldn’t be connected!

We appreciate your proactive approach to managing your transactions. Let's ensure your credit card is completely disconnected from QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), Cathryn.

When you disconnect a credit card from QuickBooks, previously imported transactions may still appear in the Transactions section until they are manually deleted or categorized. Additionally, it is possible that the credit card connection wasn’t completely removed from your QBSE account, causing transactions to continue syncing.

Start by confirming whether the credit card is still connected to QBSE:

  1. Click the Gear icon in your account.
  2. Select Manage Accounts.
  3. Look for the credit card in the list.
    • If your credit card still appears, click the dropdown arrow next to it and select Disconnect.
    • If it’s not listed, the connection has already been removed, and you can move on to the next step.

Even after disconnecting the credit card, previously pulled transactions might still appear in QBSE. Let's manually categorize or remove them:

  1. Go to the Transactions tab.
  2. Locate the transactions associated with the credit card.
  3. If they’re business-related, categorize them appropriately to keep your records accurate. If they’re unnecessary or personal, you can either exclude or delete them:
    • To exclude: Check the boxes next to the transactions, then click Exclude at the top.
    • To delete: Select a transaction, click Delete, and confirm the action.
