Question

Started a limited business. Planning on either hiring an accountant or getting a subscription on here, how would I file taxing and is there anything else I need to file on a yearly basis that isn’t on this app?

Hello @kubus1722-gmail-,

As of the moment, there isn't an integrated way to file your tax return within your QuickBooks Self-Employed account and subscription.

Instead, we help you track and prepare your taxes with the ability to categorise your transactions base on your income and expense. When ready, you have a report showing how stable is your financial status and tax return.

In addition, it is highly recommended to consult an accountant for guidance before tax filing. Learn more about your tax return with this article: How to use QuickBooks Self-Employed reports to fill in your tax return?

Lastly, I've also included this reference for a compilation of articles you can use while working with us: QuickBooks Self-Employed Overview.

If you have any other questions, please let me know by leaving any comments below. I'll be here to lend a hand.

Would I be required to hire an accountant on a monthly basis or only once a year? Sorry if I’m asking really common questions, simply want to make sure I’m doing everything right and aren’t under any legal repercussion.

You may open the account and asking the Support along the way. You can hire an accountant if you don't have time to self manage your book or need to discuss with a certain issue.
