Thanks for your interest in upgrading to the latest version of QuickBooks Desktop. I'd be happy to explain the process to you.

You can purchase QuickBooks Desktop 2018 at https://quickbooks.intuit.com/ca/. Then scroll down to the bottom and select QuickBooks Pro, Premier or Enterprise. Next, you can now download QuickBooks. Just check this article for the steps, under the Canadian version of QuickBooks section: Download QuickBooks Desktop.

After you've downloaded QuickBooks on your computer, you'll have to go through the installation process. You can check out this link on how to install QuickBooks. Lastly, open or restore your company file.

How do I purchase a copy of the Canadian version QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2019 that I pay a one-time fee for. I can't find any links on QuickBooks Canada website. I'm not looking to rent on a monthly basis - I just want to pay for it once (i'd likely upgrade in 3 years) Thanks, Greg

Go to this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/ca/small-business/.
Select QuickBooks Desktop.
Choose a subscription and click the SUBSCRIBE NOW button.
Follow the purchase process.
If it doesn't allow you to purchase the product, you can contact our QuickBooks Sales Team by clicking the phone icon.

To download the program, you can use this article: Download QuickBooks Desktop.

Before installing QuickBooks Desktop, make sure you meet the requirements:

After that, you can already install and active the program.

I appreciate the information, however, I have a monthly subscription. Auto update is turned on in QB 2017. One of my computers told me that I have an upgrade which I told it to install, so it is now in version 2018. The other computer did not and when I manually update, it just looks for updates for 2017. So, how do I update that one to 2018. Thanks
