Question

i've got an email from INTUIT. It says I have to pay $1500. I do not use any fee-based services. Is this QuickBooks or fraud? (Call Intuit Support : PII Removed)

This might be a fraud attempt or a phishing scam. Since you do not use any fee-based services or products from Intuit, you would not owe any money, let alone a flat $1,500 fee. Our Intuit Experts only call for scheduled appointments and will never request personal information. Official notifications will appear in your QuickBooks or via email.

To check if an email is legitimate, look at the sender's email address and any links inside it. Official Intuit emails always end in @intuit.com, and our official websites always end in intuit.com (such as quickbooks.intuit.com, e3.intuit.com, or click.notifications.intuit.com).

You can also review our guide on how to spot and report fraudulent messages: Identify suspicious activity and phishing scams.

If you verify a fake call or email, please report it through our Online Security Center or reach out directly through our official support channel for further assistance: Get help with QuickBooks products and services.

Your account security is our top priority. If you ever need to verify an email or have questions, reply to this thread. We are always here to help.
