Question

When I request to downgrade, I am warned that I may lose my data and to request this be sent to me before completing the downgrade. What data are they talking about?

When QuickBooks warns about potential data loss during a plan downgrade, it refers to features and data that are tied to the specific functionalities available in your current subscription tier, Info2247.

If your current plan includes advanced reporting, custom fields, payroll, or project tracking, downgrading to a lower-tier plan could result in losing access to these features and the data associated with them.

This also applies to any customizations, saved reports, or settings specific to your higher-tier plan.

To prevent permanent data loss, the warning recommends getting a copy of your data as a backup before downgrading. You can export reports, lists, and other important records from your account to ensure you retain access to critical information.
