Question

All transactions marked as Business Income before the beginning of this year have disappeared! Every one, going back to the beginning of my membership. Please help!

Oddly, this year looks OK so far, so it doesn't seem to be an errant Rule. Personal Income files look normal. And as far as I know other transactions are OK. What on earth?

To ensure no transaction periods are excluded, start by setting your date range to All dates or a custom range spanning back as far as you need. You can also filter transactions by type and select Business, or use the search box to look up a specific historical transaction by its amount or description to verify its existence.

If you recently updated a bank connection or if an old account token expired, QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) may have automatically hidden that account or turned off its visibility, which also hides all attached historical transactions. You can turn it back on by following the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Manage accounts.
  3. In the Show Account column, toggle on any accounts that were turned off.
  4. Click Refresh all to apply the changes.
