Go to the Gear icon (⚙) and click on the Get the desktop app.
Follow the onscreen instruction to download the app.
On the sign-in screen, enter your user ID and password and then click on Sign in.

There is no option under settings to Get the desktop app.

I've logged in normally as well as incognito and it's not there in either. Do you have a direct link? thank you!

This is the link that finally worked for me. I also did not have the option available under my settings for some reason.
