Can I offer ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing to clients with an existing QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Online Payroll, or QuickBooks Time subscription?
The ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing program is available for new QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Online Payroll and QuickBooks Time subscriptions only. If a QuickBooks Online Accountant account assumes the billing for an existing subscription, they are charged the then-current list price without additional discounts.
So I can only offer the discount to new clients or if they already had the discount with a previous accountant? This is why I posted the original question. And I just want to be sure before I tell someone that I can give them 30% off their subscription if I become their QBOA and bill them.
Thanks for getting back to the thread, ragenegg. I'll share some details about your ProAdvisor plans and pricing concern.
Yes, you're right. However, there are specific circumstances in which existing QuickBooks Online subscriptions are qualified for firm-billed reductions following the program's introduction. Your clients who already have firm-billed subscriptions will still receive the wholesale discount when ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing debuts on July 15, 2021. The ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing discount will apply to clients whose subscriptions are upgraded, downgraded, or transferred to a new accountant.
