Before we begin, please review the following important information before exporting data files from your Online account to your Desktop:
QuickBooks Online is compatible with Windows 7's 32-bit Internet Explorer.
To use the export feature, you must be logged in as an Admin user in both QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
On the PC where you are performing the export, you must have a supported version of QuickBooks Desktop for Windows installed. For access to trial versions of the desktop program for export purposes, see QuickBooks Desktop trial links.
To get started let's set up your security settings through Internet Explorer. Here's how:
Right-click the Internet Explorer icon and select Run as administrator.
Go to the Gear icon, then Internet Options.
Click Security, then Trusted sites.
Select Sites.
In the Add this website to the zone field, enter *.intuit.com.
Make sure that require server verification (https: ) for all sites in this zone is unchecked.
Close the Trusted Sites window.
Make sure Enable Protected Mode is unchecked.
Select Apply, then click Okay. Leave Internet Explorer open.
