I'm delighted to have you here today. It'll be my pleasure to walk you through the process of exporting payroll data and importing it to your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Mac.
You'll want to export your payroll transactions via IIF directly from your QBOP account. This way, you can use this file to upload the data manually to QuickBooks for Mac. To get you started, these are the steps:
Log in to your QBOP account.
Click the Gear icon, then go to Payroll Preferences.
Press the edit (Pencil) icon.
Choose QuickBooks Desktop for Mac, then Continue.
Click Done.
For visual reference, see the photo that I've attached below.
After downloading the payroll transactions as IIF files, access your QuickBooks for Mac and upload the data. Here's how to import the payroll data:
From QuickBooks Mac, click File.
Choose Import, then From IIF Files.
Locate the IIF file and import it into QuickBooks Mac.
The payroll information will then appear in QuickBooks Mac.
Additionally, here's an article in case you'd like to import other data available from your QBO company to your QuickBooks for Mac: Import data into QuickBooks for Mac.
I'll be happy to help you again if you have any additional QuickBooks-related concerns. Don't hesitate to post here again. Stay safe, and have a good one!
