Your interest in transitioning to QuickBooks Online (QBO) is appreciated, Wendres. I'm delighted to provide you with someuseful information about transferring your data from QuickBooks Desktop to QBO.
When you switch from QuickBooks Desktop to QBO, it's important to take note that you have a 60-day window from when you create your QuickBooks Online account to transfer your data. Once 60 days have passed, the ability to migrate files using the migration tool will be deactivated. As an alternative, you can get in touch with the QuickBooks Online Support team to request an extension of the date so you can continue using your original company file.
Once authorized, we can move forward with transferring your data to QBO. The process begins with exporting your company file using the steps provided below:
Sign in as an admin for the company file.
Go to Company, then select Export Your Company File to QuickBooks Online.
Click Get started.
Sign in as an admin to your QuickBooks Online company.
Select Choose online company, and choose the company you want to replace with your company file.
Hit Continue.
If you track inventory in QuickBooks Desktop:
Select Yes to bring them over, then enter the as-of date.
Note: Use the first day after your last tax filing period as your inventory start date.
If you have any further questions with other migration-related processes to QuickBooks Online, please don't hesitate to share them with me. I'm more than willing to assist you. I eagerly await your response and wish you a productive day!
