The allowable number of users you can add to your company varies on your subscribed QuickBooks Online (QBO) plan, Ali. Let me walk you through the process.
QuickBooks usage limits influence how many billable users, accounts, classes, locations, and tags you can manage. You can expound the link I've added above to see the limits per subscription. If you need to upgrade your subscription, you can do so by referring to this article: Upgrade or downgrade your QuickBooks Online edition.
Follow these steps to add a user:
Access Gear icon ⚙ and click on Manage users.
Choose Add user, then input the user's name and email address.
Reminder: Only periods are allowed as special characters in the user’s name, while the email field accepts periods and the @ symbol.
Select a role from the Roles ▼ dropdown menu.
Review and understand the access privileges associated with the role by expanding detailed sections.
If relevant to the selected role, configure the Account management settings.
Additionally, you can review user roles and access types to learn about the restrictions that apply to users in your QBO company.
