Allow me to share some information about exporting accountants' copy from QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Accountants' copy is only available in QuickBooks Desktop. You can add your accountant as a user in your Online account to allow them to log into your books. They can also make any adjustments they need to do without dealing with file transfers.
If you don't want to add them as one of the authorized users, you can export your QBO data and save it on the flash drive. From there, you can manually send them to your accountant.
I understand you don't want to share access with anyone in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. Don't worry. I can show you how to export your data from QBO so you can send them to your accountant.
There are a few ways to convey your data out of QBO. Reports, forms, and lists have a download button, which allows you to save copies of these onto your computer's hard drive.
To do that:
Go to the Gear icon, and select Export Data under Tools.
On the Reports tab, set the date range.
Add or remove items from the Reports and Lists by toggling the slider.
Click Export to Excel.
Once done, you'll see a .ZIP file containing the exported data.
Keep in touch if you have additional concerns about exporting files from QBO. I'm always available 24/7 to address your questions. Take care, and have a good one!
