You've come to the right place, @lynn-wood. I have all the information you'll need to ensure you can get your old CPA off your account.
To clarify, is your subscription under the accountant's wholesale billing? If you're the primary administrator, you can break off from the wholesale discount plan.
Here's how:
Log in to your QuickBooks Online account as the Primary Admin.
Go to the Gear icon and select Accounts and Settings.
If you're not the primary admin, you'll have to ask your accountant to remove your company from wholesale billing. This way, you'll have full control of your account. For more info, check out this article: Manage your wholesale discount plan and wholesale discount clients.
On the other hand, if you're not under the accountant's wholesale billing, the following steps will ensure your success. Make sure to log in as the Master or Company Admin.
Here's how:
Login to QBO as the primary admin.
Go to the Gear icon in the upper right to select Manage users.
Navigate to the Accounting firms tab and look for the accountant you wish to remove.
Click the drop-down arrow in the Action column and choose Delete.
Choose Delete to confirm the action.
Doing this will remove the accountant and their access to your company. You can also check this guide for your convenience: Add Or Remove An Accountant User.
I'm also adding these resources to learn how to manage user roles, permissions, and tasks they can do in the company:
Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about getting off your old CPA.. Was it resolved? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at anytime.
Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!
