Question

I have an HOA account on with my own personal accounts. I need to back up just the HOA account so I give the info to the next treasurer. How do I go about doing that?

Hi there, @petdata.

Let me help you accomplish your task in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

You run a quick report for your HOA account and export it into Excel. That way, you can keep your records outside QuickBooks and share the info with your next treasurer. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu and select Chart of Accounts
  2. Look for the HOA account, then click the ACTION drop-down list.
  3. Select Run report
  4. Click the Export icon beside the small gear icon.
  5. Choose Export to Excel

That should do it. You can keep this record in your hard drive and share it with your next treasurer.

Moreover, you can customize your reports in QuickBooks. That way, you can take a closer view of your business.

If you have further questions or other QuickBooks-related concerns, feel free to reach back out anytime. Just click Reply and I'll get back to you, petdata.
