Install the trial version of QB Desktop 2024 Enteprrise to upgraade your company file and convert it to QBO.

This didn't work either. The export to QB online option doesn't appear in the trial version. Using the migration tool doesn't work either as the enterprise version of my company file seems to want the Advanced QB Online subscription.

What error messages did you encounter when trying to open your company file on QB Desktop 2024?

A frozen migration can occur due to a variety of reasons, such as file size issues, outdated software, or internet connectivity problems, Robinsons.

Let's ensure your connection is stable and strong. A weak or unstable internet connection can interrupt the transfer. If it is completely frozen, force close QuickBooks by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete to open the Task Manager and end the task. Once your connection is stable, you can restart the migration.

Since you're using an older version of QuickBooks Desktop, we can use the web-based migration tool.

Here are the steps:

  1. Click QuickBooks Pro/Premier.
  2. Select Get Started, then sign in with your Intuit Account.
  3. Upload your company file.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to upload your file.

Here's a helpful article with all the detailed instructions you'll need. Click the link and look for the section Online migration tool to get started: Move your QuickBooks Desktop file to QuickBooks Online.

Didn't work. My internet connection is fine. My understanding is that all Quickbooks Desktop software is "outdated." Now, I'm stuck with an unresponsive company file uploaded into the migration tool. Despite what the tool says (refresh after 15 minutes and upload new file), the file remains there 36 hours later.
