Question

In the past days, I've logged all the expenses re my business for its calendar year, 1 Nov -- 31 Oct. That said, can I now run a report for the accountant? If so, how?

Hi, @pirateinuk-yahoo. I can help you with a report for your accountant that displays your business expenses.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) offers the Profit and Loss report to see all the income and expenses you've recorded. To run the report:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks account.
  2. Click on Reports at the left pane.
  3. Look for Profit and Loss on the search field provided.
  4. Open the report.
    1. Go to the Customize button.
    2. Set the dates to the period needed under the Report period section.
    3. Select All Expenses Accounts under Distribution Account from the Filter section.
    4. Tap on the Run report tab to refresh the page.

Once the information is ready, you can click on the Email button to send the report to your accountant. Or, print and export the report Excel for other options.

For more tips while handling your QBO reports, you can open this article: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.
