Hi there, @laeppard. Allow me to help you with your query.
To turn it on, you’ll have to setup your Export Preferences.
Here’s how:
Select the Gearicon, in the top right corner and then click Payrollsettings.
Select the Pencilicon next to Export.
Choose QuickBooks Online (this option sends data directly to your QuickBooks Account) and then select Continue.
QuickBooks Online may prompted you to log in to your company account. You will then be asked to select which company you want to do the export.
You can return to make changes to your preferences at any time after you've finished setting them up. If you need to make modifications to previously exported transactions, you can do so now and pick a date when the changes will take effect.
To export your payroll transactions, these are the steps:
Select the Gear icon and then click Payroll settings.
Select Export transaction in the Export section.
A screen will appear letting you know how many transactions and of which type are being exported.
Select Export.
You can also re-export a transaction or export individual tax payments or paychecks. For more information, you can refer to this article.
To wrap this up, I’ll be leaving these articles about Format CSV files in Excel and Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.
As always, you can post here again in the Community if you have additional questions about QuickBooks. Let us know by leaving a comment down below. Keep safe!
