Question

Some how i am using one login and my husband is using another. he uses the app for mileage and i do everything else on the computer. is there a way to merge the two logins so all info is communicating?

Hello, @russells2019.

 

Merging two QuickBooks Self-Employed account login credentials is not possible. One QBSE account is for one self-employed individual or job since it can only provide one 1040 Schedule C.

 

However if you're filing jointly and only of you is self-employed, yes you can use the same login credentials so you can both work with the account. Also, you might want to file a tax as Married Filing Jointly. This way, you only need to submit one tax return. Just make sure that you'll track your status, including your spouse's information. 

 

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Tax profile.
  3. From the Tax profile, enter your Spouse's first namelast nameannual W2 income, and federal withholding.
  4. Scroll down and proceed with the Deduction and other required information.
  5. Click Save.
