Welcome to the Community, @heat41431. I appreciate you reaching out.

To better understand the issue, could you specify where you're encountering the issue with fetching data? Is it happening when viewing transactions, running reports, or using the banking feature? Any additional details will help me pinpoint the cause and provide the best solution.

In the meantime, here are a few steps you can try:

  1. Refresh your QBO page to reload the data. If it's still stuck, log out of QBO and log back in to reset the session.
  2. Ensure your internet connection is stable, as connectivity issues can sometimes cause delays.

If the issue persists, open your QBO account in an incognito window to rule out browser-related issues.

Looking forward to your response so we can work together to resolve this.

If QuickBooks is stuck on the Fetching Data screen, it’s usually caused by a broken connection between the app and Intuit services, damaged cache files, browser issues, or sometimes a corrupted company file in Desktop versions.

A few things that normally help:

  • Close QuickBooks completely and reopen it as Administrator
  • Clear browser cache if you’re using QBO
  • Try incognito/private mode or another browser
  • Disable VPN/firewall temporarily
  • In Desktop, run QuickBooks Tool Hub and use Quick Fix My Program
  • Check if Intuit services are down

If it only happens with one specific company file, that’s when you start suspecting file damage. In Desktop versions, running Verify and Rebuild Data can help. And if the file still hangs, crashes, or refuses to load afterward, some users try tools like Stellar Repair for QuickBooks to recover corrupted company data.
