Talk to a human

When you cancel QuickBooks Online, your data remains in read-only mode for up to one year or 90 days for free trials. You can log in to view and print past records, but you cannot enter or edit transactions. After this retention period, your data is permanently deleted.

To preserve your financial records before your access ends, you can export your data using these steps:
 

1. Go to the Gear icon and select Export data.
2. Select the Reports tab to choose financial statements like your General Ledger, Balance Sheet, and Profit and Loss.
3. Click the Lists tab to select master records like your Customers, Vendors, and Employees.
4. Select Export to Excel to download the data to your computer.
