Unable to Open Multiple Companies in Desktop App

In the QuickBooks Online desktop app, why can’t I open another company under a different QuickBooks ID? I have two companies (MSP & P*** Re**** Properties) on separate accounts, but when I click the + sign to open another, the other company doesn’t show up or load when I type the name.

Do I need to sign into another QB Account (one for each one that is unique?)

Yes, to access the company file associated with another Intuit account (QBO ID), you’ll need to sign into that account separately, Johanson. The QuickBooks Online desktop app only allows one Intuit account to be logged in at a time.

The desktop app is designed for efficiency and focuses on one login session at a time to avoid confusion and ensure security. By limiting access to one account per session, it protects sensitive financial data and prevents overlap between multiple users or accounts accessing different company files simultaneously.

If you need to work with multiple Intuit accounts on the same device, you can use both the web browser version and the desktop app at the same time.

Let me know if you have any other questions or need further assistance.

It just don’t make sense that they give you the option to open more than one company, but they don’t let you add more than one company per account.  So it’s pointless.

I’ll just open one company in the browser & the other on the desktop app.I suppose.

I AGREE, Pointless option why even show if it doesn't work! Other than a ton of ANGRY people trying to figure it out cause the option exists. just remove it since no one can ever add another company.
