You need a code every time you sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account for the security and protection of your business information. It's part of the two-step verification process to confirm that you’re the one signing in to your account using your password and a unique code.
You'll have the option to turn off the two-step verification process in case this feature doesn't work for you and your business. Here's how:
In the Two-step verification section, select Turn off.
Enter the code.
Click Continue.
