Welcome to the Community, @totallytifnails.

You need a code every time you sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account for the security and protection of your business information. It's part of the two-step verification process to confirm that you’re the one signing in to your account using your password and a unique code.

You'll have the option to turn off the two-step verification process in case this feature doesn't work for you and your business. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your Intuit account.
  2. Select Sign In & Security from the left menu.
  3. In the Two-step verification section, select Turn off.
  4. Enter the code.
  5. Click Continue.

Additionally, Intuit is committed to securing your information by providing advanced security tools. You can learn more about this by checking out this article: Verify your account with multi-factor authentication. It also includes a related article about using your Google credentials to sign in to QBO.

Let me know if you have other concerns about managing the security of your QBO account. I'm just around to help. Take care always.
