If the QuickBooks Online app on your iPhone opens and immediately closes, and updating it hasn't helped, this is usually outdated or corrupted app data rather than something wrong with your account or company data.
Clear the app's stored data
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap General, then iPhone Storage.
- Find and tap QuickBooks Online in the app list.
- Select Offload App.
- Restart your iPhone, then try opening QuickBooks Online again.
Offloading clears the app's cached data without affecting your company data, since that lives in QuickBooks Online itself, not on your phone.
If that doesn't resolve it, reinstall the app
- Delete the QuickBooks Online app from your iPhone.
- Reinstall it from the App Store.
- Sign back in and confirm the app opens and stays open normally.
A full delete and reinstall goes a step further than offloading and has resolved this specific "opens and immediately closes" symptom when the lighter fix wasn't enough.
