How do I alter a start balance for a bank account ? It was set up before I was working and I need to reconcile the bank statement.

Let’s go to your Chart of Accounts and change the start balance of your account from there. I’d be glad to guide you on how:

1. Go to the Gear icon and select Chart of Accounts.
2. Locate the account you want to edit and select Account history from the Action column.
3. Find the opening balance entry and select the opening balance entry.
4. Edit the amount and click Save
