It's nice to see you in the QuickBooks Community, studioandi. I'll share details about how online banking works. I also have instructions to ensure you can view your April 2023 transactions.
When connecting your bank and credit card accounts, QuickBooks Online automatically downloads the latest transactions. Some financial institutions let you download the last 90 days, and others can go back as far as 24 months.
Since the entries only go back to January, I recommend contacting your bank to ask permission to let you set the download from April 2023.
However, if your bank only allows you to import the last 90 days of data, we can manually upload the entries into QuickBooks. To start doing the process, add the correct start date of the transaction you want to import.
Here's how:
Sign in to your bank or credit card's website.
Follow the methods on how to download CSV of your transactions to your computer. Every financial institution has different steps.
Ensure the date range for the download begins at least one day before your oldest transaction.
Download your data. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it, like your computer's desktop.
Once done, let's upload the file in the program:
Go to Transactions, then Banktransactions.
Choose the blue tile for the account.
Select the Link account dropdown and then Upload from file.
Hit Drag and drop or select files and then add the CSV you downloaded from your bank. Then Continue.
In the QuickBooksaccount dropdown, enter the account. Then Continue.
Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks. Then Continue.
Enter the file you would like to import. Then Continue.
I'm always available to assist you with bank connectivity or any other QuickBooks-related challenges. Please don't hesitate to add a comment below if you have any further concerns, studioandi. I wish you the best in your business endeavors.
