Furthermore, if you're referring about deleting an account from your chart of accounts, please note that currently, it’s not possible to delete accounts. However, you can make them inactive. QuickBooks allows you to mark accounts as inactive instead of deleting them, ensuring you retain access to past transaction data for reporting purposes.
To make the account inactive, here's how:
Go to Settings and select Chart of accounts.
Find the account you want to delete.
Select the Action dropdown and select Make inactive.
