When downloading transaction from Chase into QB, the Chase site is extremely slow. In addition, the first time I perform the download procedure it does not work. I always have to perform it a second time, to get the transactions into QB. Only having this issues with Chase. Any ideas? Thanks,Luis
Hi All,I have been struggling with the guys at Quickbooks who migrated my data over from Sage, I am in the UK and I am VAT registered for cash accounting. When they migrated my data things like my purchases and sales were entered as Journal Entries. I queried this several times as there was no VAT shown on the entry. I have now come to calculate my VAT and I was correct that the VAT is calculating correctly. I have spent hour on the phone with Quickbooks migration and help teams and they have no interest what so ever in helping solve the issue, the last migration guy told me I should keep using sage! All I want to know is there any way to add VAT to the journal entries made? Rather than using journal entries should the data have been migrated by entering individual bills and sales in Quickbooks to mimic the outstanding sales & purchases in Sage? These guys have no interest in helping me probably due to the time issue of correcting their error, I wish I had gone with XERO now as my
HiI am getting this message when trying to set up bank feeds :-Cash on hand is already linked to a bank feed. Select a QuickBooks account without an existing bank connection.I do not know of ny other feeds from the account. I did try Xero for a short time and set up bank feeds but deleted the account. Any help please?Kevin
QuickBooks Online has been telling me to update my connection as they have a more convenient connection arranged.. I try to update and go thru all the security steps.. ... ... password, authorize etc.. it redirects and says something stopped them from connecting my bank.. and to retry... I’ve tried multiple times..

Hi, Interested to know what account code to use for a card transaction that was refunded to my bank account and the best practice to record the transaction.I made a purchase using my company debit card which was for an incorrect amount was processed. This was then refunded back onto the card and then the correct amount was debited. These 3 transactions are now for review in the banking tab. What would be the best way to review and process them.I have not yet created an expense transaction for them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Is anyone else having problems downloading their transactions for Tesco Bank? I've had problems for over two weeks and my emails to QB support are being ignored. I messaged again yesterday and got a response that didn't relate to the problem. Any help would be appreciated.
Recently had lots of problems trying to link a new bank account as the bank messed up the login info and linked it to my personal accounts. QuickBooks won’t link and have gone through phone calls etc to fix but still unfixed and nobody has any advice. I thought i could remove remove my existing linked accounts and re-add them and this should clear off my new account that is stuck there due to the bank customer id confusion. But ive used this account for 18mths, am I going to lose all the transactions I have from this account if I delete it? At the moment everything is skewed as the account where my income is going is the one unlinked so my business looks like it’s mid-disaster ☹️
I am trying to set up a new Bank Feed Setup for Capital One Bank. The Community recommendation was to use Capital One Bank -New I tried this but received this message: Sorry, we've run into a problem Quickbooks is having trouble connecting to Capital One Bank - New. Any idea how to download from Capital One Bank now that Web connect is not available? The Bank download only seems to offer a csv file.
Hi Community, For all of you that have your PayPal account connected in your QuickBooks Online account, you may have recently spotted that you had a banking error code when you attempted to update the account. Most of our clients were getting the '324' error code. This has since disappeared and you are now able to update your PayPal account once more. However ... I believe QuickBooks and PayPal have updated the way in which the transactions are currently pulling through into the system and it is in fact pulling in data incorrectly. The error is currently that the old feed (before the banking error/update) used to pull through the gross income and a separate expense for the fee. The new feed is now pulling through net income (which has already taken off the fee) and another expense for the fee – effectively charging for the fee twice! QuickBooks are aware of the situation and are working to rectify this issue as quickly as possible. In the mean time I have

Does anyone know how far back bank feeds can go? We started manually entering transactions in, but as we continue to grow and see more transactions, it would be easier to have it automatically put in. The question stems more from a catch-up standpoint. If we were to catch up, how far back does the feed from WF go? Will I be able to reconcile 3-6 months back? What about 1-2 years?
why do I have to reconfirm VAT on routine transactions every month? Can't the system remember whether bank charges carry VAT or not without me having to reconfirm it every month?is there a hidden feature I am missing to set this up?
I have followed all the steps to connect to my banks using the new "more reliable" method. It is clearly working as the bank accounts do update/download transactions. However, I cannot get rid of the message, which takes up half of the top of the form telling me my new connection will be ready in about 10 working days... It has been there for 4 months now! Hi,I've not been using Quickbooks for long and can't seem to get an answer to this via their helplines. I do very simple accounting via importing my bank transactions and then selecting them to add to Quickbooks. I reconcile against my statements outside of Quickbooks before adding. My question is, i have added all bank current account transactions for the year into quickbooks. This include money coming in FROM Paypal and some money going out TO Paypal. For the purposes of this year accounts (as we've not done much this year), my accountant suggested that i don't need to add Paypal transactions to Quickbooks, since all money received from there goes direct into my bank account anyway. Does this mean i can just simply add any Paypal transactions that arent represented in the current account, and leave the rest? If i do need to add all Paypal transactions into Quickbooks and then take off fees etc. Does this then mean my accounts have tra
I had a task on interview, I would like to ask how i should have done it. I had to record a check from a customer for the invoice of $50 and also i had to record that owner put $250 to the business and i had to do 1 deposit for both for $300. My issue was that i did not know how to record this $250 that it would appear in "undeposited funds" along with check of $50 that i would make 1 deposit. The only way i have made it possible(later at home, not on a test unfort.) : i have made a GL entry where i debited Undeposited fund account and credited Onwer equity account. But what would be the correct way to do that? thank you

We create the Sales Receipts in a Till Sales account - how do I account for the payments and deposits from Worldpay? Do I create a Bank Account called Worldpay and post everything to that account then transfer the payments received from Worldpay to the Current Bank account when they send it? Thanks for your help

We have been running Quickbooks Desktop for many years and during that time have had several bank accounts.We have just moved to Quickbooks online UK to run payroll in particular. When I run the payroll and submit it allocates the payment to employees to an old bank account which is now inactive. How can I get Quickbooks online to allocate the payment to the correct bank account and how can I make the old bank accounts inactive. I have tried to make them inactive but I have so many transactions allocated to them that transferring those transactions is not feasible.Does anyone have an answer.
Just thought I would share with the community a common problem that a lot of my clients have been experiencing lately and a new troubleshooting solution I have discovered. If you are getting the error code within their banking screen showing: Then ensure that you have ‘Background app refresh’ on. To get to this go into Settings> General> Background App Refresh. I would recommend turning it off and then back on again” I hope this helps anyone experiencing the issue! Emily
